Wollombi Barnstay is pleased to be able to offer our property for weddings and receptions. Your options are endless and only limited to your imagination.

We pride ourselves in our flexibility. We do not want our brides being stressed. We want them to enjoy themselves and the process.

Wollombi Barnstay is the perfect venue for those who are looking for a relaxed country wedding. Set on a beautiful 100 acres, the property has been meticulously designed and landscaped with over 3000 trees to create a beautiful parkland which will keep getting better and better with age.

With exclusive use of the property, we offer couples a number of options.

You can book the Barnstay as a venue only and you can DIY or alternatively we can do it all for you. Both options include accommodation for 2 nights for up to 20 people.

New for 2017 and 2018

As always, the Barnstay just keeps on getting better and better with age.

From August 2017 we will be pleased to offer our couples the use of a newly built undercover lakeside deck  which will be suitable as an alternate ceremony location and for post/pre wedding wedding drinks.

Ready in  Q4 2017 (date of completion to be confirmed) will also be our new indoor space complete with indoor fireplace and outdoor firepit and outdoor but undercover dancefloor.  It will be an elegant timber building with a refined but rustic elegance and be like no other space in the Hunter Valley.

Venue Hire 2017    (valid with bookings made from 9/12/16)

2017 Rates : $6000 for up to 150 people. Venue grounds only. A pp charge of $15pp applies to numbers great than 150.

Includes:

  • Exclusive venue hire;
  • Accommodation for up to 20 people for 2 nights;
  • Full use of lake side pergola;
  • A  number of props; and
  • Event manager to assist you with your needs.

 

Venue Hire 2018

2018 Rates : $6500 for up to 150 people. Venue grounds only. A pp charge of $15 applies to numbers greater than 150.

Includes:

  • Exclusive venue hire;
  • Accommodation for up to 16 people for 2 nights;
  • Full use of lake side pergola;
  • A  number of props; and
  • Event manager to assist you with your needs.

Venue Hire 2018 with indoor function space (2 night stay – Friday – Sunday)

2018 Rate : $11,500

Includes:

  • Accommodation for up to 16 people for 2 nights;
  • Capacity for up to 180 seated if undercover outdoor space is used;
  • Rustic tables;
  • Bentwood chairs;
  • Use of fire pit, wood supplied (weather permitting)
  • All lighting and fairy lights around the pergola poles;
  • Exterior props such as wine barrels;
  • Bar facilities;
  • Use of cool room for storage;
  • Full use of lakeside pergola; and
  • Event manager to assist you with your needs

Venue Hire 2018 with indoor function space (mid week)   

2018 Rate: $8000 (Sunday to Thursday)  – 2 nights stay – inclusions as per above

2018 Rate:$6000 (Sunday to Thursday) – 1 night stay – inclusions as per above except for accommodation is 1 night only.

Are there specific set up and pack up times?

At the Barnstay our primary goal is to ensure that you have the most memorable weekend possible.  For that reason we try and allow maximum flexibility.  For marquee weekend weddings, marquee set up and delivery of items such as cool rooms etc can be from any time on Thursday onwards.  Marquee removal is no later than Monday.

Is camping allowed if some of my guests would like to stay on the property?

Yes it is possible if you have friends who would like to camp on the property.  Campers will be required to set up across the road from the Barnstay.  A per person camping charge may apply depending on numbers. We welcome glamping on the property and previous suppliers include WOW Tents and the Avantguard Camping Company.

Can I come and inspect the property?

Of course – we welcome you to come and visit the property.  Please contact Gabrielle on 0413 003 656 to arrange an appointment.

How can I secure the property for our wedding?

A $500 deposit will secure your booking with full payment due one month prior.

What else is required to be organised when getting married at the Barnstay?

For marquee weddings, additional items which will need to be organised including a cool room and a couple of portable toilets.  A generator may also be required if marquee set up is beside the lake.

Are you BYO Alcohol?

Yes for the moment we are BYO alcohol which must be served by RSA licensed wait staff.

When the indoor space is up and running, what else will I need to organise?

Well not much is the answer, only catering and fun stuff such as stylist and/or florist, photographer, music  and cake….oh and a celebrant or priest to marry you of course!!
